Safely removes unwanted Tattoo’s
Q-Switched Nd:YAG handpiece on Harmony Laser systems for tattoo removal uses two wavelengths to treat a broad range of tattoo colours, including:
- Dark colors like black, blue and green with 1064-nm wavelength
- Brighter colors like red, orange and yellow with 532-nm wavelength
How does the Tattoo removal treatment work?
Tattoo ink and the body’s natural pigmentation melanin absorb short pulse duration and high peak energy Q-switched pulses so quickly that they create a photo-acoustic effect within the pigment clusters. This splatters the ink and breaks it down into much smaller particles that can be more easily removed by the body’s natural filtering system.
The N;d Yag laser leaves no risk of burning, scarring or pigmentation. Healinghands has been offering tattoo removal for 15 years with excellent results and high client satisfaction.
How many Tattoo removal treatments will I need and how often?
Each treatment will fade the Tattoo, the first few sessions are more dramatic as the laser energy intensifies when it hits anything dark, hence it is very effective in the first few treatments. Tattoo removal typically requires six to eight or more treatments, depending how well the tattoo has been done. The treatments need to be taken every 4 weeks.
What should I expect after the tattoo removal treatment?
The skin will be hot, swollen, and tender, however, it will subside within a few days after the treatment.
The laser traumatises the inside of the skin so there is no risk of any infection as the epidermal skin has been kept intact.
The skin needs to be kept dry as much as possible and covered in a gauze on the day of treatment.
